WSCC will decide Celtique's planning application to drill neighbouring Wisborough Green tomorrow

Transient

Celtique Energy’s application for oil and gas exploration at Northup Copse near Wisborough Green will be heard tomorrow by WSCC – despite notice earlier this morning that it had been deferred.

The energy company submitted late information on Friday in support of its application, which had been recommended for refusal.

It was thought that the application would have to be deferred to a future meeting of the planning committee while the additional information was considered.

However, the meeting will go ahead as planned tomorrow and Councillors will debate and consider the application as originally planned and make a decision about whether to defer, approve or refuse it.

The meeting will take place at County Hall North in Horsham beginning at 10.30am. The meeting will be webcast live and people can view it at www.westsussex.gov.uk
